Daniel’s career has been spent building new businesses and successfully leading growing companies. Most recently, Daniel served as Chief Executive Officer of Kingsley Construction (“Kingsley”), which was sold to MasTec (NYSE: MTZ) in January 2019. Daniel led Kingsley’s effort to pivot from heavy civil construction projects to oil and gas water infrastructure in 2010. Since that time, Kingsley grew to become the largest constructor of water infrastructure in the oil and gas industry, and had more than 1,000 employees at the time of its sale to MasTec.
In 2011, Daniel led the purchase and permitting of water rights along the Rio Grande River and entered into long term, take-or-pay contracts with E&P operators completing wells in the Eagle Ford Shale. To date, this enterprise has sold more than 235 million barrels of source water.
Daniel also led a successful water sourcing operation in the Permian Basin and entered into a long-term agreement to secure exclusive water rights to the Red Bluff Reservoir on the Texas/New Mexico border in 2016. Red Bluff is the largest surface water source in the Permian and centrally located in the most active area of the Delaware Basin. This enterprise has sold more than 75 million barrels of water to blue chip Majors and Independents operating in both Texas and New Mexico.
Daniel graduated with a BBA degree from Texas A&M University. When he is not building businesses, Daniel enjoys traveling, golfing, hunting and fishing with his wife and three children.
